What do our coaching holidays look like?

Read below to get more detail of what a 4 night golf coaching holiday with us looks like.

  • Arrival Day and let the fun begin! Hopefully we all made the UK airport departure times and have safely arrived at our destination for the next few days. Once all luggage and clubs have been collected, the group will catch the pre-arranged airport transfer to our hotel. After a speedy check-in service the rest of the day is yours to kick back and relax by the pool, have a few G&Ts or even head to the range to hit some balls. Don’t overdo it though as you’ll be exhausted before we’ve even started. We have found a great ice-breaker is to organise an evening meal for the whole group, giving everyone a chance to meet each other over some local cuisine and discuss the exciting few days ahead.

  • GOLF (DAY 1) - Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel restaurant before heading to the golf course. Today’s pre-round coaching clinic will be on different short game skills that include bunkers, pitching, chipping and putting. Learn some new techniques or refine the existing repertoire of shots your already have. We will also discuss some ideas that we would like you to focus on during your round ready for discussion following your game. Some last minute prep on the putting green before departing for your 18 holes and off you go! We will be on hand during your round to help, advise and suggest certain shots and strategies as well as to observe your current way of playing. Finish your round with a well earned refreshing drink, go through a thorough debrief of your round and the evening is yours to wind down and relax. If there are some good local restaurants we will often open an invite to join us for the evening meal where we will split the bill between everyone present.

  • GOLF (DAY 2) - Enjoy another tasty breakfast (go easy on the pastries) at the hotel restaurant before heading to the golf course for day 2. Today’s pre-round coaching clinic will be on long game skills that include driving, approach play and how to tackle the different terrain on the course. After seeing your technique on day 1 we are well placed to offer bespoke corrections to help improve your ball striking and directional control. Once again we will open an invite to join us for the evening meal where we will split the bill between everyone present.

  • GOLF (DAY 3) - Our last golf day already! You should now know your way around the breakfast buffet as well as your home course, so with a full stomach we will head to the course for the final time. Today’s pre-round coaching clinic will bring together everything we have covered over the first two days and to work on the tasks/shots that still need some fine tuning in preparation for your final round. We will also remind you of all the strategic points we have covered and bring this together with a comprehensive pre-shot routine that helps you consolidate this information. Some last minute prep on the putting green before departing for your 18 holes and off you go! We will be on hand during your round to help, advise and suggest certain shots and strategies as well as to observe your current way of playing. Finish your round with a well earned refreshing drink, go through a thorough debrief of what you will work on following the trip and the evening is yours to wind down and relax. Once again we will open an invite to join us for the evening meal where we will split the bill between everyone present. If you haven’t been to the other evenings it would be great to see you all together for one final hurrah!

  • Time to go home! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end (unless you’ve decided to stay on a few days of course). Depending on flight times, there may be an opportunity to chillout by the pool or have a last G&T sharing some anecdotes with the group. We will depart as a group via the pre-arranged airport transfers and bid a fond farewell until next time. There is one positive however, you will return to the UK feeling revitalised, refreshed (and of course) a better golfer!

FAQs for our Golf Coaching Holidays

  • As part of the Grooves Golf Coaching Holidays, guests will enjoy between four and six nights at a luxury hotel, daily rounds of golf and expert coaching from our PGA Professionals. The packages will also be either B&B, Half-Board or All-Inclusive depending on the trip and location. Generally the hotel’s amenities and luxury facilities will be available to use*. Group transfers will also be organised between airports and hotels.

*Some access and treatments are subject to surcharges depending on the hotel

  • Our coaching holidays normally have 8 spaces available and we have two PGA coaches on each trip. We can tailor coaching based on any skill level and ability. We will split the group down into two smaller groups should we need to.

  • What more can we say other than luxury, perfection, and optimum comfort.

We work closely with Golf Breaks to handpick the best hotels and visit each destination ourselves before booking anything.

Rooms are pre-booked and will differ depending on the country and hotel location. Upgrades to other rooms can be requested and will depend on availability with additional costs incurred.

Guests can book single or double/twin occupancy, with each option priced accordingly.

  • If you have to cancel your coaching holiday for any reason, we ask for as much notice as possible. We normally pay final balances to our tour operator 60 days before a coaching holiday.

If you have to cancel inside of this period we will do everything we can to fill your space(s). As a final alternative we will look at transferring your booking to another coaching holiday on an alternative date. If we fail to do this you will be liable and will lose your money.

  • To book your place on one of our golf coaching holidays, we ask that you get in touch with us directly via the ‘Book Now’ button. This will send you directly to an email where you can let us know the trip you wish to join. We will then liaise with you directly to set up your retreat!
